Whew. The future is a blinding light. This is my most complete work, as well as my most personal. This album is about a lot from my life, and a lot from where my life was going at the time. This music came from a very dark place but ended in the lightest place I'd ever been before. It was a bit prophetic in that regard. When this record began its life in the writing process I was at a very low point, but when this record was released I had begun dating my future wife. We recently celebrated the birth of our child and it got me thinking about my relationship to music and how it has changed and evolved. This record is very dated in the sense that it is very much set in a certain time, but like the end of the titular song my life shifted from frantic noise to a quiet calm. The future may be blinding, but its light will bring you home.
